The Panama Silver, Asian Gold: Migration, Money, and the Making of the Modern Caribbean course was collaboratively created and taught at Amherst College, University of Florida, and University of Miami in 2013. The new course version, Panama Silver, Asian Gold: Reimagining Diasporas, Archives, and the Humanities, was again collaboratively created and taught at Amherst College, University of Florida, University of Miami, and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados in 2016.

This page provides a guide to the course materials, including teaching materials, sources, and student work and projects (with permissions granted by the faculty and students for sharing these materials to support Caribbean Studies).

Resources Used in the Course

The course is helping to increase the availability of relevant resources in dLOC. In addition to the explicitly referenced resources, related resources can be access using keywords.
